Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) is basically a mountain trained Force and most of the officers & men are professionally trained Mountaineers and Skiers. Being the first responder for natural Disaster in the Himalayas, ITBP has been carrying out numerous rescue and relief operations.

Qualification : Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board with (a) One year’s experience in the trade of Mason or Carpenter or Plumber or Electrician or Welder or Painter. (b) Preference will be given to those who have a certificate of trade from an Industrial Training Institute or recognized Institution.
Age : 18 to 23 years
Medical Standards : (a) Vision: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction (i.e. without wearing glasses). (b) Must pass high grade colour vision test. Must not have knock knees, flat foot, varicose veins or squint in eyes. Must not have any defect/deformity likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties.

The applications shall either be type written or neatly hand written on one side only on full size plain paper with passport size photographs affixed on application/admit card along withapplication fee, enclosures as in para-8 to the Dy.
